Minutes of Meeting – West Valley, NY
April 28, 2023
Meeting called to order by State President Herm Flowers at 7:10 pm.
Herm thanked the West Valley Club for hosting the 2023 State Hunt. Also thanked Matt Wilday for his help and Dave Nicholas for ordering jackets for those who wanted one.
State Escrow was posted on the wall and on the tables and was gone over.
State Youth Hunt will take place on July 15th at Whitney Point. Last year’s format didn't really work out as planned so it will be going back to an added purse which will be $300. The Whitney Point club was willing to host the event again next year.
Location of next year’s State Hunt was not decided. However, two clubs will get back in touch after meeting with their club. A vote was held on what night to hold the State Championship Hunt either Friday, Saturday or leave it up to the host club. Majority voting to leave it up to the host club.
Herm reported that there was one issue that he voted on during the past year and based on the response he received from the members he voted no.
Went over some nite hunt procedures from discussions with Shane.
Briefly went over the Concealed Carry Improvement Act.
Passed out awards for State Leader, Youth State Leader, State Champion and Youth State Champion.
Opened floor for questions.
Meeting adjourned at 7:45 pm
